Another 3-Fer at XDL Los Angeles!

Los Angeles, California
Another round of XDL in the books, 3 more trips to the podium for Dryden! "What can I say, things are really clicking, and the MotoSport Aprilia is doing work!" said Joe. As always, the field of riders was stacked with the best of the best in the street freestyle world with guys from all over battling for the crown. Friday would see another victory in Battle of the Brands for the Aprilia, and a solid qualifying run from Joe would set him up for a busy day on Saturday. A 3rd place early in the day in the Aprilia All Star Challenge was a great start, and would only help build momentum heading into the finals. 3 solid runs in the FMF Cup bumped Dryden into the top 10 for points after a few rough rounds early in the season. Sickest Trick is the final event of the weekend, and Joe knew he would have to bring something new to the table if he wanted to walk away with the gold. "I was the last rider to go, so I had already seen what I needed to beat, I brought a trick that I had never tried, and I knew if I pulled it, it would be enough for the win!" said Dryden. Joe would go on to wow the crowd and the judges with his no handed scrape, a trick that combines technical riding, along with balls to pull off. Shifting from first to second gear, the rider pulls in the clutch using the bikes momentum to carry the wheelie, the rider the puts the bike in neutral, and removes his hands from the bars, using only the rear brake to control the wheelie, the rider allows the bike to come all the back to scrape the back end, then applying more rear brake to bring it back to the wheels. 3 Podiums in Nashville!

Nashville, TN

Joe Vertical had a fantastic weekend in Nashville at Round 3 of the XDL Series. He locked up a 1st Place in Battle of the Brands, a 1st Place in Freestyle Burnout, and a 2nd Place in Sickest Trick with a monster stoppie variation. "The MotoSport Aprilia was on fire this weekend, everything just sort of came together, and I was able to put it on the box in a few events!" said Dryden. The Nasville stop on the XDL Series comes just a few weeks after the tragic flooding, but that didn't stop the fans from making there way out to Nashville Super Speeday for the event. With nearly 40 of the nations best riders in attendance, the competition seems to be getting tougher and tougher with every round. Next stop is Los Angeles, Ca, and Joe is already back in Florida with only 1 thing on his mind, victory! Please visit www.xdlshow.com for more info!
